Prof. dr. Andries Kalsbeek is professor of Experimental Neuro-endocrinology at the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the Amsterdam UMC, University of Amsterdam. He is also team leader of the Hypothalamic Integration Mechanisms group at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience (NIN). His main research focus is to understand how the hypothalamus controls the rhythms of our life, with a focus on hormone rhythms and energy homeostasis.
