Dr. Joëlle Oosterman
Dr Joëlle Oosterman is a postdoctoral researcher and obesity physician at the department of Internal Medicine at the Obesity Center CGG in the Erasmus MC. Her current research focuses on the regulation of stress hormones and especially on diurnal cortisol rhythms. Previously, she did research in the field of chronobiology, During her PhD (thesis 2017, Amsterdam UMC), she assessed the effects of timing of food intake on metabolism and the clock.
Over the past years, she has been involved in a variety of studies focusing on lifestyle as medicine. She believes that focus on the internal clock should be one of the pillars of a healthy lifestyle.
