Description of project
In many diseases the function of the biological clock deteriorates, for instance in aging. This may lead to additional health problems, and often is exposed through sleep problems initially. Since the core of the biological clock contains clock genes and related enzymes, molecules and proteins, the clock may be targeted chemically. In this project we are aiming to find new targets and work further on already existing targets to modify the clock.
Ultimately we can use my data to develop new drugs that improve health treatments that involve the clock.
