BioClock was proudly represented at the latest biannual UK Clock Club meeting that was held on September 17 in Norwich, organized by BioClocks UK, the network for biological rhythms research in the UK. The event brings together researchers from across the United Kingdom to share the latest scientific insights, build connections, and strengthen the circadian research community.
This year, BioClock’s own Dr. Laura Kervezee was invited to deliver the keynote lecture, highlighting the strong ties between our consortium and our namesake across the pond.
In her keynote, “Harnessing Circadian Biology to Improve Healthcare,” Laura explored how insights from circadian biology can be translated into better healthcare practices, both for patients and for healthcare professionals working night shifts.
Disruptions of the circadian rhythm has been linked to a wide range of health challenges. A better understanding of how biological timing influences health and performance could therefore help improve patient care, staff well-being, and long-term health outcomes.
We are grateful for the opportunity strengthen our relationship with colleagues in the UK and continue working toward our shared goal of advancing circadian biology. Many thanks to BioClocks UK for organizing another successful Clock Club meeting, and we look forward to more collaboration in the future.
