Artificial light at night has an effect on different species around us with possible detrimental effects on biodiversity. In my project, I will study the effect of light at night on plants. Since plants are at the base of each ecosystem, changes in plant ecology may affect the whole system.

I will study how plant ecology and plant communities may be affected by light at night. I want to specifically look at the intensity and the spectrum of frequently used LED technology in both terrestial and aquatic systems.
