But what does &#8216;the night&#8217; mean for our modern cities?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the latest Roundtable by the international platform <em>The Nature of Cities (TNOC)<\/em>, researchers, designers, and policymakers from around the world shared their perspectives on the night. Their goal: to shed light on the lives that unfold after sunset in cities across the globe. Mara Cotterink also contributed on behalf of the BioClock Consortium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her piece <em>\u201cThe Unbearable Brightness of the Dark\u201d<\/em>, Mara highlights the importance of natural darkness for both humans and nature.
